I was sitting next to a dude who probably was there probably because of his daughter and during the part the actors went close to the audience, I was looking around to watch my favorite swordboy and he had the weirdest expression ever. A mix of surprise and 'what the fuck'.

The 6th song is one of my favorite songs in all of Toumyu. It's so sweet and comfy. Its title is Daisuki but it isn't a love song at all, which just makes it even sweeter. I hope the full version is just as nice.
I also liked that the Imatsuru/Iwatits/Ishi love song is cute and funny instead of being filled with DRAMA and REGRET. I'd rather have love songs like that if we must.

Same here anon. I knew the moment I heard the shamisen and YOOOOOO I knew this was gonna be my fucking jam. I have the biggest boner for traditional nip music and I really wish they had more of this instead of all that pop stuff. I loved Ishi in this scene. His voice is always so expressive, I wish he was Ishi’s VA in the game.
That scene where he tried to stop Kogi from leaving him alone with Kashuu was really cute. It was nice to see that he was aware of the awkwardness.

If people aren't talking about it, there's hardly any activity in these threads lately. People quickly start to lewd post if we don't talk about stuff.

The last time we talked about something unrelated to 2.5D was when we got artbook scans and Manba Kiwame.
We should have gotten a new sword boy but they delayed his implementation. We'll get the ranbu level thing soon though.
Regarding anime, no Hanamaru S3 and ufotable didn't announce anything related to the Katsugeki movie.

Plus we just got rips, it's normal people are talking about it.

I really couldn't imagine thinking that, coming from the game first I always end up comparing back and whenever I take a break from stage/myu I get a disconnect hearing the actors again. From my vague understanding, Shizuka is scared of hugging people he likes because he doesn't want to break them (previously he broke a plate). Honebami suggests practising so he can control his strength, but he's still not comfortable enough. Otegine is both big and level 99 so he can take it, but Shizuka haet yari and doesn't know how to feel about his first proper embrace.

They have the list of swords getting new art.

Just thought of something as I struggled to get more duplicates.
What if world 8 comes after the ranbu thing, and what if we need the ranbu thing to clear world 8? The KBC poems were getting pretty weird by the end of world 7, maybe this is where the plot thickens and we need to reforge our swords into something stronger to be able to beat it.

Interesting idea though, I do hope the devs try to do more plot related things soon. We've gone 3 years without any sort of insight into the Revisionists within the game itself, it'd be good to get more.

All toudan should be allowed to take part in youkai festivities though, because tsukumogami make up a big part of their ranks.

Do swords share personal care products or does each one of them have their own? I don't want to imagine the citadel having military bathrooms where everyone uses the same stuff. On the other hand, how do they find and afford what each one needs? The saniwa should spend money on all swords equally, no favoring no matter how long your hair is.

I just finished my first myu, skipped the trial to come back to later. Despite talking big about having watched plenty of 2.5D musicals before I was not prepared for the marching and frolicking back up dancers, or that woman who was screaming I love you Benkei-sama. Somehow that made me lose my shit, when the swords were in focus it was fine. The first three songs in the story felt more like interruptions, it wasn't until Imanotsurugi's sparkle song that it started to fit into place. I wonder whose decision it was to make every single character completely barmy; it was fun though. Hasebe's absence felt wrong, I kept thinking I'd miscounted how many swords were on stage. I think I got used to 'what? Two units at the same time? What is aruji thinking (fucking again)?' in the stage plays. Speaking of, the variety of set formations and the amount of projection work feels way higher budget, I hadn't expected that. The page turning effect really felt like a game on stage.

I'm still not sold on all the voices, I'm going to need to press forward until I'm used to it. Do the CD releases come with instrumentals?

It's great seeing that kind of tech used for something other than imaginary tennis balls. I get that stage is being more serious but in comparison they feel weak and having practically superpowers is a huge difference to the worldbuilding. In stage you just have to take their word for it that knocking people down was more knocking than the average samurai.

The way the ground splits was really neat, makes it look like their power is beyond that of regular humans, just a bit of a shame they took it out of future myus, but on the flipside, they added in blood splatter effects and they made their damaged forms even more messed up, so whatever. Correct me if I'm wrong though because I haven't watched the other myus at length yet. Blood for the random number god!

Don't worry, they get better with each installment. Personally I think they've hit their peak at this year's Atsukashi performance but obviously there's still room for improvement. Can't wait for this year's SRS to hear how much they've gotten better and to cringe at the lyrics at the same time. On that note, I don't like the CD versions much because of the use of autotune. Hearing them live (relatively speaking), off key moments and all, makes them sound more natural.

It's been three years but that's ok, I'm a patient Kogifag even though new Kogi completely spoiled me with how /fit/ he looks. Sadly, new Kogi sounds wonky, which sucks.

Iffy singing I can deal with, it used to be a joke in Tenimyu fandom that the prince himself was tonedeaf. What I meant was more how much like the character I felt they were. I don't know why but Sayo and others in stage clicked a lot faster for me than Imanotsurugi and co. Then again, stage Mikazuki is so different in delivery and sound half the time, like he's 3x more archaic and bizarre somehow. I'm just used to him being him, so I'm sure with time I'll feel the same for the myu voices. It's certain danshi at a certain citadel, they're not all identical.

Yes they are very different. Myu Jiji= Psycho face and backservice, Stage Jiji = this picture. Looking forward to his further adventures in the movie whenever it comes out.

Have to say that I think it's weird to see such a large Sayo though, Imano actually looks like a kid from a distance.

Stage Jiji comes off more like that crazy old man in the bus that demands you give him 200 Lincoln hats so the CIA doesn't read his mind, entirely harmless unless provoked. Now of course all of this is explained in Hiden with all that time travel fuckery why he acts so foreshadow-y and cryptic.

Myu Jiji on the other hand is similar to stage Jiji but without the "I know something you don't" vibe unless of course they're gonna touch on that in future myus, but I highly doubt it.

Also myu Jiji legit freaks me the fuck out, he makes the most unsettling faces. It's like the only expressions he's capable of making is mysterious geisha and Hannibal Lecter psycho axe murderer rapist.

They are literally the same height though. Sayo's actor is 162cm and Imano's actor is 163cm. In Imano's case, everyone is way taller than him, except Kashuu(his actor is 172 cm) so it gives the impression that he is small. In Tsuwamono, every other Toudan actor is over 180cm.

This is stupid. Everyone knows mochi live in the space under a citadel. Someone's tantou were probably dropping crumbs everywhere and there were no naginata or yari cleaning up after them so the mochi moved in. This is just what happens when a dumb saniwa starts thinking mochi are going to hurt their little swords and calls pest control. If you stop leaving food out they'll move onto another citadel you know. Your stupid precious tantou were definitely feeding them because they liked having pets behind your back. Calling someone to take them away isn't going to make those little brats obedient, you've got bigger problems.

It's not as dire as my original post implied but I am also just picky. Usually, I'll shell out for doujin from a handful of artists I like and hope that they don't move on but I'm already out one of my favourites, it's a bummer.

I want to draw a set of swords swapping costumes with torture devices since I did Nansen and Cat o' Ninetails already, but deciding who with who isn't easy. I know I want to do Jiji and Brodkin because it'd look good on Jiji and he'd be a positive influence on Brodkin's "fucking ningens" attitude. Stork and Kousetsu works because they look similar but Stork's outfit is bland without the wings and feet. Souza would look good as Madonna but that character is nothing but heebie jeebies and I'm not letting it into any citadel, even if Sayo would make a cute cherub. It feels wrong not to include Kikkou and Sengo somewhere but nothing is the right way round for them.

If I introduce you guys would you like to make suggestions? It can be because it'd look good or because there's some similarity.
