>>3210674I feel the same way towards Raiden. It is probably because, to baselessly speculate, we use our faves as emotional release valves, projecting current emotions and everything else on to them. When we feel sad, we put our faves through hell to express those emotions, and comfort them to receive comfort ourselves. Im talking out of my ass though, I have no psychological education whatsoever

>>3211584 said, it is a Policenauts reference, as well as a reference to aliens. Kojima also made Raiden's blood white to emphasize his out-of-placeness on the battlefield, as well as to emphasize his pure, innocent base nature
>>3211584Thanks! I would love to see your creations and drawings of Raiden; I might even create/draw a few of my own. :D
But about white blood's routine need for "dialysis". I dont think that is the case, considering how when Raiden pulled himself off from his chair in the Act 4 briefing, no blood came gushing out of either him or the chair, which suggests that there is no intravenous connection, nor do we see any water purification/IV bags anywhere nearby, both of which are necessary for dialysis. If anything, Raiden's body is probably getting recharged, as the shape of the cord tips connect him to his chair and his back ports seem to be flat, electrical, and rectangular in nature, suggesting charging/USB cables and ports. At least the RaiRose family will be saving a fortune post-4; Raiden just has to connect his chair/charging cable to the mains power for maintenance instead of shelling out for dialysis.
Kojima's use of the term "dialysis" was probably intentional though. "Dialysis" contains connotations of being desperately sick, suffering, and in need of a high amount of medical attention and a certain lifestyle (of which fighting is not). All of which Raiden either is, or needs in MGS4, and helps reinforce the fact that he is a human being, not just some robotic spectacle for fans to jizz or rage over.
