yeah. i heard that the show was ass so i stayed clear of it. if you're interested, the manga actually holds up really well. not to mention how much better the art is.

Literally the only downside to the manga is that you don't get to hear Nezumi sing
Everything else is like 1000x better than the anime

For the record, the original novels are pretty good. IIRC the manga is basically faithful except possibly leaving out some shit regarding Nezumi's weird tribal past.

I do enjoy books quite a bit. I'm typically one to watch a full show and read the full manga or book, but I'm thinking I might supersaturate digesting the same story three times.

You can find english translations posted online easily through google, or you could when I read them a couple years back. Not sure about any other languages you may need/want.
