Can we post fanfiction here too?
A few months earlier, an anon wrote a summary of a Shuake fic, Topaz
pastebin.com/7hWzg8fbI liked it so much I'm commissioning my friend to translate it for me. This is a rough draft of the first part. I told my friend to take it easy with the translation but I'll edit some things later. I'll post the rest as he gets done.
“Yeah, I dropped it.”
While we were roaming around Sae's Palace, Akachi passed something to me. That thing, when I took it from the box it was placed in, was smaller than I thought it would be, so it slipped from my hands and fell to the ground.
It made a loud thud and a small light shot from it as it rolled on the ground. He was standing behind me and picked it up.
After politely wiping off his fingers, he held the object in his fingertips.
“It’s just so small, so you dropped it, huh?”
“I’m sorry.”
So I wouldn’t drop it again, I softly place it in my hand. It was a radiant augite.
I couldn’t say whether it was a dark brown or amber. The red brilliance of the stone took in the light from the splendid interior of the palace. Although it was small, it boasted itself as it strummed on the light of the room.
“Have you taken a liking to it?”
“Although I can’t really explain, it has a calming, beautiful color I think.”
He nodded meekly.
“Oh really? This is topaz.”
“Topaz…”
I’ve heard of something like that before.
Among augites, it wasn’t a particularly valuable stone it seems.
“So, you have interest in these things?”
“Um, yea, what was the chemical formula for it again…”
As I rolled it around in my hand, he asked me the question again, without thinking, I blurted out a response.
“You’re first person I’ve met who knows the chemical formulas for rocks. I was thinking of something more romantic. You know, some simple remarks or an anecdote.”
