>>3092111I'm sure both Eugene and Yamagi aren't afforded the luxury of mourning for different reasons. And they have different things to deal with.
Eugene has the guilt of his decision to abandon Shino-- the moment he stops is the moment Orga's totally alone, and let's face it, these past two episodes it's mostly been Eugene gluing Tekkadan together. Now they're surrounded by the enemy after the stress of the last episode and being hunted for dead, as a leader he can't fall apart. This is what Shino would understand more than anything, as he was terrified of being in a leader position.
Yamagi can't stop and think about the what-ifs with Shino now that Eugene revealed to him Shino's feelings. He can't stop to think about how much he wants to see him again because he's only doing what he's doing for Shino, and because he knows Shino will get angry at him if he gives up on living. Notice he never said he still wants to live, just that he can't say that because Shino would get upset.
They both will get their private mourning time if they survive and I feel like that'd kind of eat at both of them. Yamagi is already more of a taciturn loner, without Shino tying him to Tekkadan after I doubt he'd stay for anyone other than Nadi maybe. Eugene scrambles to keep everyone together and isn't thinking of himself, but he has to live with the weight of the dead on him after, especially his best friend.
I see a lifetime of drinking and smoking for these two. Honestly the future looks so bleak for Tekkadan.
>>3092107Biscuit's death still does make me sad. But it's odd for Shino to not get even a proper tribute. Just because his body isn't recovered doesn't mean they can't give him a funeral or say some last words or pay their respects. I know they have no time right now on Mars, but they should be at least discussing the possibility...
