>>3039791Honestly, it gets pretty hokey at times, but you can blame this on the fact that it has to follow a pre-set world/character structure and plot (sometimes the plot seems so forced). The first episode is the weakest out of all of them IMO, but by the end of season one it's actually pretty intense.
The characters are super likeable, the fight scenes are neat, and the setting is pretty cool. I wouldn't say it's an award winning show at all, but it doesn't have to be for someone to really enjoy it. I'd definitely recommend it.
The reason the art style is so similar is because it's by the same studio.
