>>3037298>>3037301>>3037303To elaborate on this, I would say the scale goes like the following.
10— sex, shown on-screen.
9— sex or something close to sex, occurring off-screen.
8— passionate kissing / heavy petting, but with clothes on.
7— no more than one or two kisses.
6— no more than one almost-kiss, but at least one hand-touch, and lots of blushing.
5— some blushing, at least one character definitely canonically gay, but without any real catharsis.
4— gay enough that the majority of the fanbase is forced to agree that one or more characters is probably gay, but a small fringe could still dispute it.
3— gay undertones. A large chunk of the fanbase does gay shipping, but not the majority.
2— maybe one vaguely gay moment, but it's pretty clear all characters are either straight or mostly straight.
1— a guy talks about his feelings, once.
0— toxic hyper-masculinity dominates every moment of male dialogue.
Shingeki No Kyojin is around a 4.0 (Historia and Ymir).
Sound Euphonium is around a 4.5 or a 5.0 (Kumiko and Reina).
Neon Genesis Evangelion episode 24 is around a 5.5 or a 6.0 (Shinji and Kaoru).
Rebuild Of Evangelion 2.0 is honestly around 2.0 on the scale. Yeah, there was that moment with Kaji, but it was depressingly clear he was just joking around.
It took a long time to torrent 3.0, so I haven't got around to watching it yet.
