>>3002782I originally got into Fafner back when they first started putting out the dub on DVDs. I bought each one when it came out because I had dial up internet and couldn't watch it online. Fanart for Fafner was sparce because pixiv wasn't a regular thing so you had to browse through this japanese search website that listed Fafner fanartists. I had to do the same thing for FMA now that I think about it. Most of them took down their art after a while though, so it was so strange being in an empty fandom. It's even stranger that there's an active fandom now that unironically watches it, since Fafner was the butt of a lot of /m/ jokes back in the day.
I frequent the IBO thread more than this one though, I'm really enjoying it though I feel like it's been dragging the last few episodes. I think that general gay robot shows have become popular in recent years because of Code Geass, which I am completely ok with. I just want more fanart and fanfics, I only had to wait about 10 years to get it.
