>>2971627Series adaption of a music rhythm-based phone-game made by Gechs and Sanrio (makers of cute figures like Hello Kitty and My Melody).
Here's an example of the gameplay.
In the game, you collect game cards that give you advantages during the rhythm part section, like gaining a higher score, ignoring a few misses, stuff like that (and to collect because of course Gotta Catch'em All!)
Normally, the game art of of the girls and boys you see posted here and an other Show By Rock!! threads depicts the cast members in cutesy Hello Kitty-style animal people, commonly called myumons (I guess this is a portmanteau for music monster or music humans, stuff like that).
However, unlike normal Sanrio-property, this franchise is mainly focused towards adult otaku (primarily the male demographic, but also female). So you have cute tiny Hello Kitty-style animal people doing cute things, or posing in very risque manners and focusing on sex appeal.
The artwork of all those cast members as kemonomimis (humans with animal ears, plus animal tails in some cases) comes from the rarest card types, the Ultra-Rares, depicting what the myumons look like in a more humanoid form. That makes them of course highly sought out (and they of course have generally the strongest effects in your deck).
There are two main mascot bands in the game. One is the girl band Plasmagica (focused on typical J-Pop rock), whose member are a catgirl in gothic lolita fashin, a hikkikomori dog girl who is very smitten with the catgirl, a bunny girl, and a pink sheep who is an alien from space.
The second main mascot band are the Visual Key-Heavy Metal band (? - I'm not really a music expert) Shingan Crimson Z, whose member are a hedgehog, a lion, a fox, and a panther.
