/cm/ seems to have a lot of posters who are new to 4chan, so I thought I'd make a thread detailing some etiquette. (Yes we have etiquette!) To keep this topic board-relevant, this thread will also be for posting cute boys on computers.
>Don't make duplicate threads
A thread for your topic may already be up. Click on the link that says "catalog" above where the list of threads starts and use ctrl + f to find what you want. This prevents old threads from being bumped off the board.
>Keep the board clean
If it's too late and you already made a duplicate thread, you can delete it by checking the box to the top right of your post, then scrolling down and pressing delete. Only you can prevent board clutter!
>/cm/ is not a demand response center or a search engine
Starting a thread with 1 image asking for more of the same is considered impolite, especially if it's a specific request. Start threads with at least 6 relevant images, (unless it's a harem or husbando kind of thread) and if you can't find exactly what you're looking for yourself with google, don't expect other anons to do the same.
>Use image space wisely!
We only have 150 images per thread, so please don't eat up the limit with reaction pics or low-res art. And bump threads with relevant content if you can. Try searching safebooru if you need a pic.
>When in doubt, Sage
If you want to reply to a thread, but not bump it, (maybe because it's a duplicate or has hit image limit) type SAGE into the options box. /cm/ is a slow board, so using this often won't hurt threads.
>There's no need to post with a name unless you're a drawfriend or content creator
(Only mentioning this because I was a newfag on /cm/ once and I used a name when it was unneeded.)
>No 3D boys!
Duh.
Thanks for reading!
(Mods pls sticky. We really need the help.)
