i have a "problem that i want to talk about here tonight. i am a heterosexual male and i've become autism-tier obsessed with the whole cute male thing in anime. i can watch a single series solely because i know there's a cute boy in it. it does cause me a lot of cognitive dissonance though but i do recognize that even though characters like pic related (totsuka) are deliberately made to look more feminine and act more feminine, which makes it not homo. but why do i enjoy cute male characters in anime more than male, you may ask. i'd like to believe that it is as simple as novelty seeking behavior, cute girls has been done thousands of times everywhere and this just feels new and confusing in a kinda good way.

anyway i made this thread to get some external input. i'm pretty sure i'm not gay or even bi. what do you think about said thoughts? can you relate? any other straight men up in here who are hooked to this "trope"? (i should add that i don't feel any sexual attraction towards characters like pic related, more like a "just want to stare for hours on end" kind of feel.
