As for bugs, yes. Scyther is cool but Scizor is the best bug, specially mega Scizor.
Beedrill, Yanmega, Vikavolt, Ariados, Centiskorch, Genesect and Ninjask are cool too. Shedinja, while not very useful, it's a cool concept and the 1hp allowing for weird and unique gimmicks is also cool. Also so far the only bug and ghost type (my favorite type).
Butterfree, Surskit, Combee, Cutiefly and Ribombee are super cute. Joltik too because of how small it is. Shuckle, Buzzwole and Whirlipede are funny. Volcarona is great (can easily solo Cynthia in BW at lv70). Heracross my friend.
