If you're interested in the actual card game/modern meta, probably either Duel Links or Master Duel are good starting places (I hear Duel Links is more beginner-friendly, but Master Duel is where the bulk of the active players are). Last year they also re-released on Switch a compilation of all the old GBC/GBA games, if you specifically want to play the old school games (I think The Sacred Cards from GBA is relatively easy and not too grindy).
If you're more interested in the media series, I think a lot of the American dubs have been uploaded to youtube, if that's the particular version you're feeling nostalgic for. The manga is very different, but still very good.
