I know it's AI because, after suspecting it, I image searched it and the twitter account it's from openly says it is. I just thought it was interesting that despite not seeing any obvious tells, it still just screams "this is AI". I can't even describe what about it made me know.

The original anime style was born out of the necessities of animation. But now people do illustrations in that style that are not bound by those constraints.
Anime style watercolors are certainly less common. But they do exist.
