Now we wait for the 2nd season. I'm hoping it eventually gets adapted at least up to Kamakura.
>>4019527I would have also liked more for him. But I think the aspect of his death being more silly than badass is like Tokiyuki's death being framed as more upbeat than sad like Koro-sensei's. It seems to me that Matsui was hard committed to having characters consistently maintain whatever themes/outlook they represented even in death. Nitta was always silly and carefree and he died silly and carefree. Tokiyuki was basically the physical incarnation of the joy of living, so his death was a celebration of life.
It's also a rule that Matsui's best boys don't get as much attention as they deserve. Itona was the same way.
