>>3597030If you like a more realistic slow burn with some good character development and you're a fan of Sunflower, I highly recommend it. If you're looking for immediate confessions of love and everything is fine or want a quick lewd time, you won't find it here. It basically takes place after Sunny's confession, but his friends didn't respond well to it and he didn't stick around to talk further with Basil fearing he'd make things worse. I won't say much more about the plot other than Sunny's moved to the city and is trying to cope with living his life again and finding some way to reconnect with his friends, whether they forgive him or not.
Personally, it's my favorite fic to the point that I have difficulty reading other ones. The dialogue can seem a bit stiff at times, but I believe that's due to Sunny and Basil both being unused to conversation and proper human interaction since Kel and Aubrey seem more natural. I do think the author could try to put more gestures and expressions during dialogues at certain times, but he's pretty good at conveying what people are doing and making them feel natural most of the time. I feel the characters are pretty true to themselves and I love the angst in the story combined with the awkward, but heartwarming dynamic between the two boys. I even teared up a bit a couple times, and I'm not much of a crier. Give it a shot and see if you like it, anon.
