>>3534457Hasebe's theme is the one you can send to just about anyone and they'll get it. Kogits theme is similar but far more Japanese-y with the shamisen(?) sound. The orchestra concert recording was honestly the comfiest way I've ever spent being sick, just wrapped up warm and mumbling sword names at my TV with tired enthusiasm. I expected to sleep through it but perked up whenever the next piece started. I should watch it again sometime, though I have vague memory of it messing up either Uguisu or Ichi-nii's music by taking away the intro effects that make them special. I forget what.
>>3534481Nikkari's was the one I was listening to when I made that post! That waltz feel just gives me a blast of 90s gothic shoujo atmosphere. Sometimes when I play the CDs through I think "I can't tell the tracks apart, the melodies and instruments are too similar", but when I pick them out purposefully I miraculously focus thoughts on the related sword. I really love how some of the very war-like swords have soft, gentle refrains because it lets you imagine the other side of them. I kind of question how much they really think them through before approving the arrangements, but they do know what they're doing with making the at-home music embody a little quiet vulnerable nature.
>>3534504Kasen's theme has that reverent choir that's so similar to the Akatsuki no Yona ED they did (highly recommend if you haven't heard the ver they didn't release on disc:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViORFApsFiE), but instead of being some epic sacred hymn like Akatsuki is it's more gentle contemplation. It makes me think of sunny stone streets, falling petals, and a clear stream, before the tension hitches into night and something horrible occurs. But things continue as they always have.
Thanks to everyone mentioning swords I don't listen to much because now I have something to go investigate and reconsider. I have everyone unlocked in game and bought all the CDs but I still forget some.
