I was expecting them to relentlessly rip on the shipping trend, but the episode ended up being more of a lighthearted parody-yet tribute to fandom of sorts. It's cute, and very funny. Also made one of the best dynamics in the show out of what was originally a crackship pair which I was indifferent towards pre canon, but now love.
