Whatever role you're assigned to. Drivers, NCOs or officer candidates etc get 12 months. Medics get 9. More basic stuff can get 6. You have some influence over it but if you're ordered you're ordered.

Usually people join up around 18-20 depending on studies, but we're an antisocial people so it's good training for real relationships for the slower developing folks.

Where are you from? Almost everyone I went to school with lost their virginity in middle / high school. The list of people I grew up with that were still virgins at 18 is significantly shorter than the list of those that weren't.

Sometimes time was tight and people were antsy so there was no time for cleanup. When there was more time like on rest days people tended to pair off and go at it in the showers and especially the toilet stalls once the doors got installed again. The toilets had hand showers so cleanup was very easy and after some rougher weeks in the woods they just tied a guy down in a stall and went at him 10, 20 times in a row. Personally wasn't into that.
