>>3284993>>3284943Big sad anon here. It's really important that you stop lying to yourself. It's rough and you will cry, if your like me you will cry a lot. The guy you like will never, under any circumstances, want to engage in the kind of relationship that you want and there is nothing you, or anyone, can do to change that. If you truly comprehend that fact it will crush you for a solid month, probably more, but its the most important thing to realize or you will keep falling for him and every interaction you have will be effected by how much you like him.
Thats the hardest part honestly. Something I found really helpful as I told the other guy is writing down all your thoughts when you are at your lowest points. Don't even think about the words that you are writing. Your thoughts and the words you write should be the same thing. This was really useful for me because the act of writing out words and having to finish each sentence that I started in my head really calms me down.
Make sure you keep up any hobbies (sports, instruments ect.) or you will really quickly start to feel like absolute shit. Connecting with other gay guys / girls who are totally ok with you being gay and just talking about guys and things you find cute is helpful. It can help you start to find other guys cute and from there you will notice so many cute guys you never noticed before.
Also, just because you find a guy cute doesn't mean that you have to form an emotional bond. A lot of my friends are cute but I'm not emotionally invested in them beyond friends.
Most importantly don't hold the fact that your crush isnt into against him. Spend all the time with him that you would normally and enjoy his company as any friends should.
TL;DR realize that you wont be in a relationship with your crush. Cry about it. Pour out your emotions into something (diary) or someone (trusted friend). Spend time with him as a friend and enjoy his company without trying to get into his pants.
