I play all the time and see him being picked (or banned) fairly often, same in Worlds and professional play,, not to mention most of his playerbase are str8 dudes and his gameplay appeals to them, yet appearance-wise he appeals to barafags masc/daddy enjoyers, pool party Graves felt like a cultural reset - seeing a champ with body hair,,, looking back on his and Vayne's voice lines in their sentinel skins, Riot could've moved in that direction and make them yet another random teased M/F couple, put them together in a short story or a skinline,,, but they decided to push him and TF instead; TF's not that bad either, he's one of the OG champs, and no matter how much hets screech about "can't two male characters just be friends anymore", their lore's always had them connected and they make sense together,,, I'm sure Riot could've picked way duller, bottom of the barrel champs as their offering to fags, Taric's right there, no one would've batted an eye if they updated his bio to squeeze in he's been banging dudes in Targon or had an estranged husband in Demacia,,, it ultimately comes down to personal preferences on who you want to be the next filling the fag quota - Draven, Pantheon, Braum? Yeah, it would be funny to see people seething and they're hot and popular and have decent lore - can't have them all; I think if the Udyr/Lee thing goes anywhere gay it would be quite scandalous, but I wouldn't hold my breath; Sett and Aphelios are super meh but - why not, and if you're weeping over twink Ezreal riding off into an aryan fantasy with Lux, you still got emo twink Aphelios, even if the sister thing is kind of a turn-off,,, it could be worse, the Varus thing with the meat gundam, two dead gays and a demon was a retcon that everyone hated equally,,, it's gotten better, even if the Graves/TF pride story was juvenile and wattpad-like at the end, it still confirmed Graves as gay, manwhore and monsterfucker - nice
