>>2890416>You're telling me this guy is confident enough to wear a dress in public every day, but is paralyzed with nerves whenever a blind guy touches him slightly? >I don't mean to be that guy, but why the fuck is he scared of getting physical? This. It would be a more interesting and cohesive story if it broke from the formula a little to explore the questions it brings up. Even if the answer is something standard like like "he's a-ok with all kinds of clothes but is worried about getting intimate due to inexperience and insecurity about his naked body", that would still be a better story than just the ??? we have now. Hell, that boring, undramatic excuse could lead to a nice conversation where the blind guy is like "Well, I can't see you, so I can't judge your how your body looks. All I know is, I wanna touch it." It would still highlight the blind guy's selfishness while also providing some resolution for Ogi-kun.
But instead, Ogi-kun just jerks the blind guy off kind of like it's nothing, doesn't even react when he says "This is like a penalty game with my brother lol." Just, what? I know the blind guy is meant to be a selfish dick, but the mangaka is going to have to work hard for this to get to a satisfying conclusion. That would be OK for some mangakas, but I don't trust this one to pull it off.
Doesn't help that the girl feels like a wasted character too. I almost never care about girls in BL, but like how Asami is the most compelling part of Jealousy, Kanako is the best part of Ogi-kun. But is the mangaka going to do anything interesting with her now that she has fulfilled her purpose of being a rival and insinuating things at the blind guy rather than full-on giving him the ugly truth? I doubt it.
The concept was great, but unless things improve, fuck this manga. The whole "I'm not actually bi" thing is the least of its problems.
