Why is there not much that focuses on dominant males? It's easy to find a focus on the dominatrix.

A majority of Yaoi is focused on the position of the writer or artist. 90%+ of Yaoi is written by a Sub. Which also means 90%+ would be expected to focus on the Sub in art and fictions.

That is exactly my issue, too many sub protagonists. Doesn't matter if it is a show, book or game, the MC bends over for everyone.

I think lots of authors have difficulty writing a character with 'sexually dominant' as a primary trait without them just coming off as psycho or sexually aggressive in an unpleasant way. A lot of the time when the pov character is a dom its put in a more predatory 'beast within' way even if the piece isn't setting out to be 120 Days of Sodom. Maybe look for vampires and werewolves?
