>>2735944The game had way more problems and it wasn't because Dark Dawn was released late in the DS's life span (which is a moot point since 3DS's are backwards compatible). Besides the outdated combat and fan fiction-tier writing (playing as children of MC's and furry people), the things you had to do to achieve your goals were way too convoluted and grandiose in scale to the goals themselves. For example, traveling all over the continent to find a bird, activating two massive machines just to cross a mountain range, activating a doomsday device to break a pirate out of jail.
Also, the game did fix any of the issues from the previous games, like the collecting an absurd number of djinn that some of which were missable, which you said earlier, and scenes running for too long. This was especially bad once you freed Eoleo. Everyone started having a long conversation, and then Kraden shows up and drags it out further, and I'm thinking "Hey, shit is about to hit the fan any time now. Shouldn't we be getting the fuck out here and catch up on this stuff later?" Don't get me wrong, I like the Golden Sun series and it's one of my favorite RPG's, but I prefer to pretend Dark Dawn never happened. The bara can stay.
