>>2703230The main girl in charge (Jennifer) has been caught out for sexism numerous times. She's rude to guys who are into BL as she doesn't consider them part of the market. Back when Tumblr was a thing some people actually tested her with a few questions through Facebook chat as she looks after the social media pages and they posted the results. She was nice and had conversations with girls but really snappy and offputting to the guys. She also takes photos of guys in cosplay at cons and puts them on the Sublime twitter account. Some have kicked up a fuss as they don't want their pictures on a BL twitter page as she never asked permission.
People who have worked with Sublime have also described it as Jennifers own professional scanlation group. They'll only license stuff she's into. Translators have mentioned asking about stuff internally but getting shot down purely because she doesn't like it.
In the lead up to Futekiya's launch some stuff came out too. At one point Futekiya were collecting data if people were happy with the current BL manga companies and a fair few people shared stories about Sublime (and June Manga) that weren't very good. Some people claimed they hadn't been paid for work done at both.
Now she's claiming things like Amazon is harsh on BL manga because they took down one of her favorites. More then likely she (or whoever looks after the Kindle side) fucked up the Amazon listing as you can buy the manga in other languages from different publishers, if it was content related they would all be affected. Only Sublimes version has been taken down across multiple countries Amazon stores.
Long story short, the imprint has a shitty person at the top. She's rude to fudanshi and objectifies them. They only work on stuff that she wants and don't pay people properly. Now she's trying to get the BL fanbase to go to war with Amazon over what was likely her own mistake.
