One can't just see a therapist and expect them to magically fix them. The way you've phrased that is a dangerous way of thinking. If everyone thought like that then anyone could just go to therapy, put forth no effort into bettering themself, not better themself, and just think, "Well, it's not my fault. It must be the therapist.". In which case they just wasted their own time, resources, and possibly money.
