Does one necessarily need to be a female to be considered a fujo ?

Just curious about the grouping in general I guess as a bi guy, on the one hand I keep hearing people say its "problematic" and that it perpetuates gay/bi stereotypes and whatnot, but on the other I often just see it as girls fawning abit over stuff they find hot

So I guess my question to all you fujos is how do you view your fellow comrades and what's your take on same sex relationships irl
