I wish authors would at least do their research on anal sex to learn to set the sex scenes better... Rolling my eyes at all the spontaneous anal with no signs of prepping or cleaning out beforehand at all (at least show me them coming out of the bathroom or something, and pls nothing after a full course meal), like, characters are just done confessing their love to each other after walking home from school and they just go at it right there just like that, sunset fading in the background, sometimes not even the sight of a condom to not worry that much about shit dick-- luckily they'll show the lube and some sort of fingering to work the bottom open-- why do they even need to do anal right away, why not making the sexy scene about foreplay or fooling around: mutual bjs, hjs, frotting, grinding...
I know most artists are working on a page budget and not everything needs to be said/shown but still, there are good ways to get around that... I get that BL is mostly by and aimed at broads and they could care less about being *that* accurate, but as a gay man I just can't not think about it sometimes and get lost in the fantasy completely y'know, remember it doesn't have to be realistic lol
Another thing I find weird is too much blushing and crying during sex, I don't get the appeal, those random tears are low-key a turn-off... At the same time, taking into account how rapey BL usually tends to be, I guess there are times where it's actually kinda sorta fitting? Still not my thing.
