https://twitter.com/VStandsForVore/status/1133154109018779648>wanting law enforcement to get involved with DMC pornto anyone lurking here, art is posted here with the intention of sharing the art as it is, no one who posts art here is trying to claim they're the artist. they're posting it because the art is relevant to the thread. reposting here has a different "meaning" than some moron who reposts your art to deviantArt. if you don't put a watermark on your art, you have no right to be worried that people might not be able to find your social media profiles. also, people on 4chan ask for "sauce" (source) all the time. if they like your work enough, even if you didn't put a watermark on it, they will try to find the artist themselves.
and for the people getting butthurt on behalf of all artists, stop talking about shit you clearly don't understand. if you had even a vague idea of what you were talking about, you'd know that boards like /pol/ and /b/ (and even fucking /mlp/) are containment boards that are meant to keep shitty posts out of other boards. if you think that all of 4chan is represented by /pol/, then I guess I understand why you get assmad over "reposts". 4chan is first and foremost an image board. when art is posted on boards like /y/, the post focuses on the post contents and not the user themselves. if you're someone from Twitter, this concept might be hard to understand.
it's shitty when people repost works when you explicitly state not to, but you can't stop people from doing it. the best thing to do is watermark your work. you can't seriously expect all people to listen to your "rules". honestly, if you don't want your art to get reposted, you're better off not posting it at all.
