Dante and Vergil looked nothing alike in the 4th game, the special edition let you play Vergil, and his face is very different from Dante, correct me if im wrong. As I said above I agree with their methods to give them completely different face models. If it bugs you so badly... GO DOWNLOAD the mod where he uses Dante's face model :/ ... Honestly I prefer them looking different, identical or not, it didn't effect the outcome of the game.
No they looked like shit because they looked like shit ^^, it had nothing to do with the games being old... I'm referring to Devil May Cry 4, the models were what you would call ugly. You are just talking what I said out of context now... You kind of seem like the weebs that cried about them changing the style of their models, who cares they looked fine... Times have changed man... Get with the new bigger and better graphics out there, be happy they continued the game.
