It's not just BF, Tumblr came out with a site-wide ban on everything NSFW almost a month ago today. This Plebbit post sums it up pretty well: https://www.reddit.com/r/HobbyDrama/comments/a2s72r/tumblr_all_nsfw_content_banned/. As with YouTube, none of it is manual and consequently, many posts which are actually SFW have even gotten flagged.
