Yea believe it or not, Japan cracked down HARD on censorship in various animes, hentai, yaoi, and yuri in recent years. That's why you see more censored scenes in anime nowadays like the infamous scene of Jotaro from JJBA smoking a cigarette. Back then, you could show underage smoking but now that's a no no.
Also if you look at recent hentai productions and animes, they're low budget. Looping animation with flash tier tweening and movement. Honestly I'd rather take low budget yaoi over all this trap/girlwithadickandcallitaboy/underage phase.
Also thanks to the recent censorship laws, you can't show cocks/vaginas getting sucked, penetrating, or even being erect anymore in doujinshi, hentai, and even fanart. (Hell even Pixiv cracked down on me for not blurring and censoring my art properly and I wasn't popular or anything...)
So yea that's why there hasn't been alot of explicit yaoi, yuri, and etc except fluff. They're not fucking around anymore when it comes to porn.
