It sounds so idiot to assume things like "gays dislike to see a character being a bottom, so this must to be the fujos's fault!" or "girls only like slim, delicate characters in BL because they self insert as one!", this just sounds as if you are mad that not everything suits your taste and you need a scapegoat to blame.
Nitro+ games have more disturbing and dark themes, so it makes sense that the MC will experience all sorts of violence and be put in a vulnerable/submissive position. The developers want you, the player, to "hear" the MC thoughts and fears, and get anxious about your decisions since the MC can even die if you fuck up too badly.
Either way, this sort of game is very niche so there isn't that many tittles out there like hentai ones, but that doesn't mean that games with the MC topping don't exist. The MC from "No, Thank You!!!" for example only tops if I'm not mistaken; I haven't played all Nitro+ games, but from the top of my head, in Togaino no Chi Rin's a bottom instead of Akira as well. You just need to research more and support the stuff you like so the developers know there's a demanda for that.
For example, I like tentacle porn with mosters filling the guy's stomach with eggs, but just because it isn't as popular as I would like, getting mad about omegaverse, that's somehow related but not really and way more popular, or coming with "only fujos enjoy this shit becasue they self insert as the omega and if you like that you are disgusting!!" mentality will not make omegaverse unpopular or increase the popularity of my tentacle shit fetish.
