This is my indie dev side talking, I peeked at the game files. I think they could have done some things more efficiently and reduce the game's file size. And probably run a lot smoother too.
I fought the boss in slow-mo. And the sfx after the second to last level was out of sync.
It doesn't use a sprite atlas for things like the HUD or the orb pick ups. Everything is a separate .png so rather than loading 1 image, it has to load 30+ images. It uses up a lot more memory that way.
There's also some bloat files like duplicate logo images. a .psd file. .ds_store file in every folder because someone must use a Mac.
and they didn't package the .exe with the the game icon right.
