I didn't pass a moral judgement on the artists. I said that it's natural to want to make more money. That's the whole deal about making things scarcer and exclusive, so they become more valuable so you can make more money from them, people have been doing that for thousands of years. Yet what makes one person roll in money makes another deprived of something. One can only talk about whether something is good or bad from one's own position. I'm not an artist making big patreon bucks, as aren't most people. How does paywalling benefit me? It doesn't. It doesn't make art that I see better, it doesn't increase the amount of art available, etc, quite on the contrary. And even if I could pay for some, I wouldn't possibly be able to pay for all of them.
