The particular artist this started about offers all of their work for 5 dollars. Basically, you could sub, read everything, and unsub. Not ideal for the artist, but for someone who is stingy with money, it's a really good fucking deal. Then if you like the work, you could come back in 6 months and sub/delete again to catch up with what you missed. That's pretty cool and rare on Patreon these days. That's why I suggested trying to support him financially instead of just ripping him off. The artists you're describing who charge extra for back months are garbage and I don't give a fuck about them. They should be on a digital subscription package site and not on a patronage community site.
