It's pretty explicit he doesn't need Donald's help, now, and I can't imagine it would be much of a leap for him to figure out how to do it himself, and then go from using in as a by-world basis, using it situationally, which effectively means however and whenever he damn well pleases.
I mean, it's Sora - so whatever he turns into might not look -quite- right, but hey, if you've got slightly off coloration and a bit of extra something or other on your head, that's really not all that bad for being, say - I dunno. -Anything-? Like, this is game where Merlin exists. Casual magic shapeshifting - it's a thing.
