There was less of a rule 34 culture at the time, the fansites with the porn are dead, etc. Shadow Dragon was a fairly bad remake so that didn't really cause a resurgence either I believe. There's always SSB, but if you're looking for art of him with Merric or Xane or something that doesn't help you much.
