Believe or not, a lot of people still doubt about Ymir and Historia being canon despite what Wada and all of the official stuff say.
And the main reason that people think that BR isn't going to be a thing is because Bert is stated to have a crush on Annie, and it's pushed in all of the spinoffs too.
But IMO, mainly just in the spinoffs. In the manga he has denied everytime Reiner says that he has a crush on Annie, and I think any attempt to defend it as "Bert is just shy! He obviously has a crush on her based on this one vague panel!" is pushing it, and just as delusional as people saying that Bert has a crush on Reiner. But that's just my two cents.
I can see Isayama not giving a damn about the spinoffs too. Didn't he dispel some of the canon from ACWNR and Before the Fall?
