What you need to do is actually reference. Grab a photo (or drawing) without the intent of copying the exact shape: deconstruct, sketch, try different angles on your own. Actually think about what you're doing, the proportions, what basic shapes make up the dick?. THAT's how that shit works.
If you copy and trace over and over again, of course you're never going to learn anything. Some of the edits to take off clothing in this thread are quite neat and impressive, but most of the dicks look like sixth-grade doodles, because the editor doesn't understand what they're tracing, so the line weight is almost always way off.
