I took a professional IQ test when applying to work at a firm. I got 110.
Looks like I'm clinically retarded. Still got the job but I'm not happy

Thing is, you still had to bust your ass. You had enough to get in with effort, but not enough to just breeze through it all, which some people believe it or not really do. I agree that many don't even try at all and are just lazy, but some people are truly disadvantaged as well. Also some people who are just average try to go into fields meant for the gifted and than they get slammed. They hate themselves because society keeps burdening everyone with the idea that anyone can be whoever they want. Happy that you got in med school, but your story still only further proves the point despite it just being an anecdote.
The other tragic life lesson here is that people are stressed because they are trying to be something they're not.

but still, if you really care that much about IQ, then first of all work on it (learn a foreign language, learn some maths/whatever)
and then, find yourself a 130IQ plain-jane and impregnate her in order to have 120IQ babies

Not him, just adding on the conversation. But yes, it's important to move forward despite any limitations you might have. I'm not trying to make the low-IQs feel inferior or like they "deserve to die" or some shit. I'm actually trying to make them feel better and let them know it's not their fault unless they were truly just being lazy.

Intelligence quanta will never be a thing
And here is why:

Even "Knowledge Mastery" is not related to intelligence in anyway.. thats just being a "Learned"
Now how can merely a pattern regocnition be related to intelligence in anyway?
Pattern regocnition would be more of a youthfull/dynamic/virile thing (which rates your level of senility)
You cannot never say no matter how good you are at doing some goddamn puzzles that you are more intelligent than any other +20year older than you, just because you cannot ever know what they can possibly know
You can only imagine yourself being intelligent because you can do algebra and someone else reads math left to right.
While at the same time you are completely ignorant to everything else intelligence might even be, by claiming to know it

Fund a business and compete on accumulation of wealth instead of cognitive heavy professional hierarchies.

Wealth correlates less with IQ than Income does, precisely because being intelligent makes you a better professional, but not necessarily richer.

I suggest you read this book by Malcolm Gladwell called Outliers.

A good takeaway there is that you don't have to be the smartest person to succeed in life. You just have to be smart enough.

His example was basketball. The tallest player doesn't necessarily have to be the best player. In order to play, you just have to be tall enough to get in the team. After that, other factors come into play such as how you work with other players, how you prepare, your exercise, diet, technique, and so on.

You're intelligent enough. The rest falls on character.

Motivation and effort is about 100X more useful for productivity, your finances and a good life, compared to bare IQ. You might not break records or write papers that get published in fancy magazines when you're 10 years old, but you'll do well for yourself as long as you have the drive and will to do so.
