language allows humanity to create what is essentially a hive mind superintelligence almost by accident - this is why a singularity based on AI "exceeding individual human ability" is an unfounded fear: the real intelligence such an AI would have to overcome would be the superintelligence formed by the communication of the entire human species, and there's genuinely no feasible way currently for AI to even approach the energy/matter efficiency of a meat brain.
