Aside from that, try to collaborate with as many people as possible, because it gets your name on their paper even though you yourself have to do just a small bit of the total work needed for that publication - do not do solo articles.
Also, you can write short articles ("letters"), it uses results more sparingly than articles of normal length. Thats all I can come up with on the fly
