They have simulated it, and are running Artificial Intelligences through the simulation as the dominant beings on that planet. "Humans"
Humans that successfully kill themselves are saved, as that AI has proven the capability and understanding to know how to kill a human, and has exercised free will. Proving both that it is an advanced self aware AI, and that it has the appropriate combat capability to deal with a real human.
So... If you exit by that method, you will just be placed into combat, to fight Earth.
