The invention of shaving made it worse, now baldies could shave their head and look much healthier and in many cases even more masculine.
Now the invention of hair transplants will make it even worse. In a couple of centuries it will be common for men to go completely bald by the age of 20, assuming gene editing wouldn't be a thing.

They are also more sensitive to DHT. As you hit puberty, your DHT levels skyrocket. It gives you sex drive and sexual features like a beard and body hair. A common misconception is that high testosterone leads to baldness. It is a cope baldies have as they tell themselves that being bald is a sign of having higher levels of testosterone. This is completely false but it has some truth to it. Higher levels of testosterone lead to higher levels of DHT, which in many males lead to baldness. However, this isn't a direct link. You can have high levels of T coupled with low levels of DHT. You can have both be high and yet now bald because you lucked out with DHT resistant hairs up top. You can have both to be at low levels and still bald because your hairs are VERY sensitive to DHT.
