Antidepressant discontinuation syndrome is literally a symptom of physical addiction, yet nobody tells anyone that these drugs are addicting.
Doctors gave me intravenous morphine in the hospital, and cut my dosage down from 0.4mg to 0.2mg and 0mg, alternating, to prevent physical addiction.
For 0mg, the alternative medication was an intravenous NSAID.

How come antidepressants are not dosed as such?
