if I place bacteria from my mouth on an agar plate and let it grow for a week, would it be dangerous to ingest after it grows?

They'd die out after a week in the incubator and the agar itself would dry up into a dessicated cookie. I guess it depends on species/leftover toxin.

absolutely yes. I had an internship in a medical microbio lab and this is literally what we did once for fun.

They will grow so much (especially the bad ones with right agar, like blood agar) that there will be such a large quantity that any open wound, no matter how small, will get horribly infected.

Here truly the amount makes the poison.

so im assuming that depending on the environment the harmful bacteria can grow?

so, if I have a food item such as a lollipop, and i let it sit with my tongue bacteria for a while, it might not get the same dangerous bacteria as what might grow on agar?

Bacteria need peace and stasis to grow very large usually, especially the biofilm-generating ones. This is the reason why they generate biofilm in the foist place. To be fixed to a certain place to grow. Also it needs the right nutrient mix a lolipop will be way to sugary so osmotic pressure will kill the bacteria actually. They need the perfect osmotic and metabolic environment that they will in part create themselves in their biofilms. Like caries-bacteria in crevices of your teeth and gums
