Uh g-guys I just realized that there’s a pattern of 2+ each time you go

1+1=2
2+2=4
3+3=6
4+4=8
5+5=10

Always the answer is + 2 /sci/ I feel like I just cracked the source code of the universe wtf am I going to cease to exist now or something?

(1*1)/(1+1) = 1/2
(2 * 2)/(2+2) = 1
(3*3) / (3+3) = 3/2
(4*4) / (4 + 4) = 2
there's a pattern of 1/2+ every time you go up

thats because multiplication is just repeated addition.
so 2*1 is equal to 1+1(one added to itself two times)
your pattern is just 2*x, and it makes total sense to get 2*x - 2*(x-1) = 2
2*x - 2*x +2 = 2

A more general result is
(n+1)+(n+1)...+(n+1)_m - n+n...+n_m = m
For instance
2+2+2 - 1+1+1 = 3

Yet more general is the following:
(n+k)+(n+k)...+(n+k)_m - n+n...+n_m = mk
For instance
3+3+3 - 1+1+1 = 3*2 = 6
8+8+8+8 - 5+5+5+5 = 4*3 = 12
Proof:
m(n+k)-mn=mn+mk-mn=mk
