1. a massive military buildup and war to bail out the kingdom's lack of ability to defend itself against iraq
2. a massive legal bailout by shielding them from all liability for 9/11, as well as intentionally covering up their role to shield them from most public scrutiny
compensating them for a few billion dollars lost on keeping elon from taking over twitter would be peanuts by comparison. it wouldn't even have to be under the table - they could just hike the price of oil for a few months to make up the difference
