>>14396859It was slightly better before the rona, and actually not that bad like a decade ago. Don't get me wrong, it was always mostly uni students, with a few people in industry, a few phds and a few trolls, hobbyists, tourists and the odd religious nutbag here and there.
But most people with any real interest in science left because of the /x/ invasion and later the /pol/ invasion.
Now if i posted about my research, or my hobbies, i'd mostly get idiots reeeeing about politics, or maybe some undergraduats who feel smart because they may be familiar with a word i used, explaining to me their misread notions from old research or pop science.
